Alfred J. White Family History
I do not know a lot about the White family except that I believe they were well-acquainted with the Ellis family in the East. Looking through Massachusetts records it is obvious that the White and Ellis family were living side by side. More research needs to be done on this branch. This is what I know to this date:
Alfred J. White was born September 17, 1831 in New York and died February 4, 1900 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI. He was married to Jennet Blodgett who was born February 4, 1822 in New Hampshire. She died April 1, 1907 in Beloit. Poor Alfred died within weeks of his daughter, Jennet. What a terrible burden for Jennet White who then took in her grandsons to raise until her death in 1907.

Alfred and Jennet had the following children and possibly more:

Nellie White born March 4, 1858 married Williams.
Julie White born April 16, 1860
Chauncy White born August 18, 1862 in No. Augusta, Canada, married September 18, 1880 to Olive Clark in Evanston, Cook Cty, IL and died September 27, 1947 in Beloit, IL. (see picture on right)Their children:
Myrtle White born June 25, 1881 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI, d: Mar 1974 married Alfred J. Mickey. They had seven children: Harry, Alfred, Chauncy, Jeanette, Harry (yes there were two), Edna and Josephine who married Mr. Boger and had a son named Alfred Boger.
Pearl White born June 14, 1887 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI married William Smith and had two children: Alice (who married Lampher and had one son, Harold) and Hazel Smith who married Corkhill.
Lillian White born May 8, 1893 died March 17, 1935 married Alfred Mickey's brother and had two children: Harvey and Dorothy.
Frances (Franky) White (female) born February 20, 1864
Esther Jennet White born October 10, 1867 Brasher Falls, St. Lawrence Cty, NY married to John Fremont Ellis on May 1, 1883 in Beloit, Rock Cty, WI and died January 21, 1900 in Beloit.
There may be more children but these were the only ones listed in the family bible. There is an Olive T. Reynolds who was born in 1877 and probably married to Alfred Reynolds.
I have many questions on this family. Is Jennet Blodgett related to the Caleb Blodgett who settled the Beloit, WI area? How did Alfred and Jennet meet and how did they come to be in North Augusta, Canada, where their son, Chauncy was born. Who were the other children? Was Alfred acquainted with the Ellis family in New York?
Notes: Alfred White and William Blodgett are both listed as pastors of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Mexico Village in Oswego County, New York. The church was organized in 1829. Jedediah Ellis settled in Richland, Oswego County, New York which is just down the road from Mexico. His son, John married Esther Jennet White, daughter of Alfred White and Jennet Blodgett.
I believe that Alfred had a brother, Chauncey White who was born in 1823 in Vermont. He married 1847 in New Hampshire to Sophrone who was born 1830 in Vermont. They lived in Illinois also. They had the following children:

Also, the LDS church IGI lists a Jennie E. White born 5/1/1883 in Rock County, WI. She may have been a daughter of Frank White?
