I am decended from Elizabeth J Olin who married James Hayes Looney (and 2nd husband Martin C Wood). Her parents were Giles Sage and Melinda Pierce Olin. I have information on the Pierce side of the family, but can not find the parent of Giles Sage Olin. Based on all the Olin information I have found, there were a lot of Giles Olins and some Olins who married Sages, but I can't sort out who were the parents of Giles Sage Olin. I have his birth as 2 Sep 1817 in Bennington, Vt. Is he the son of Giles Olin and Mary Sage? Help!!!
