A member of my family, Cora Theetge (elsewhere misspelled Thietge and Thutge) married Scevillian Olin. I am still trying to nail down the Theetge family group in Michigan, but have not had much success. Any insight or additional information ohter than what is on the web page regarding Scevillian and Cora could be very helpful.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some census information (though you may already have it). While searching for Theetges in Chemung County, NY I happened to spot two Olin families close together. They are on page 164 of the 1880/NY/Chemung/Baldwin T9-816 roll. They are William, Sallie & family and Henry, Adelia & family. I note that the Olins arrived in Michigan from Chemung County. Of interest, Adelia lists Michigan as her birthplace.

MOULTER FAMILY INFORMATON

I saw the following intriguing information on your Olin web page:

Giles O. Olin b: April 13, 1837 Chemung, NY, d: April 24, 1901 Austin, Mecosta Cty, MI.21, m: February 20, 1856 in Erin, Chemung Cty, NY.
[6 ] Lydia Moulter .

It appears that my GGG Grandfather was a Richard R. Vanderwater who married apparently three times but finally to an Esther Ann Moulter
(b. 1846 abt. NY). They had a child Peter A. Vanderwater who is my GG Grandfather.

Richard was b. NJ > MI, Montcalm > MI > Mecosta Big Rapids where I believe he died between 1900 - 1910. Peter married Sylvia Paddock who
lived with her parents in Mecosta, Austin. I've noted my Mecosta ancestors below.

Do you know if this Esther is related to your Lydia ? Do you know anyone who may know about these Moulters (not a common name) ?

Thank You for your time and consideration,
Wayne Loeslin

[3] Mecosta County History shows her middle initial as A. while county records show M.

[4] Mecosta County records show her birth month as February.

[5] Mecosta County records show Llewelyn Olin born on the same date to the same parents, he may have beena stillborn twin.
