Caleb Hendee, Jr. born October 2, 1768 m. Lydia Rich. They had the following children:
Charles Jefferson Hendee b. 1 Jul 1805 Pittsford, Rutland, VT
Josephine Hendee* possibly married a McCorkle. She had a grandson named Hugh Keating McCorkle who inherited the family home in Causerage, NY. He moved everything to Portland (ME or MI?) Hugh was 19 during WWII.
Laura Hendee* b. 1808 , d. 1874 most likely in Hartford, CT. She m. Hiram Holliday, b. 1801 in Poquenock, Hartford, CT and d. 1841 probably in CT. His parents were Jonathan Holloday and Bethsheba Holcomb(e). Their children:
Daniel Hendee Holliday b. 1838, d. 1902 m. 1859 to Antoinette Weldy.
Lorton Holliday m. Elizabeth Weldy.
Neither of these women have been proven to be a sister to Charles Hendee, however it has been handed down through family history. It is unclear which son produced a daughter, Marcelena Holliday who was b. Alleghany Cty, NY and m. William C. Windsor. But I'll bet it was Daniel and Antoinette since it is a French name. One of the sons definitely had a daughter, Laura Edith Holliday who was the Sister Edith Constance above. To my knowledge the Hendees never were and are not now Catholics. I assume that either the Holliday family was Catholic or Laura Edith Holloday's parents became Catholic. Homer Holliday could be either Hiram's brother and a great uncle or a brother to Daniel and Lorton. Obviously, more work needs to be done on this family.
Information on Hiram Holloday was taken from two sources: LDS birth records of Hartford, CT and Tracye Machelle Brewer's gedcom on genserv.com.
